Easy Cookie Dough Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter unsalted (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cup flour unbleached
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and prepare three baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, create a delightful mixture by creaming together 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 1/4 cup of sugar using an electric mixer. Blend these ingredients for 1-2 minutes until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
  • Next, beat in 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, continuing to mix for another minute until the ingredients are well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt.
  • Now, gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, incorporating it half at a time. Use a rubber spatula to mix until just combined, ensuring not to overmix.
  • Using a cookie scoop, drop portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake the cookies for 9-10 minutes, remembering to rotate the pan halfway through for even baking.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a couple of minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • For storage, keep your delicious cookies in an airtight container, and they'll stay fresh for up to 1 week. Alternatively, you can freeze them for longer enjoyment. Happy baking!
